Being a male in the wild sometimes means being the prettiest too…a lot of male bird species like this male Red-headed honeyeater are a delight to see flittering in amongst the mangrove habitat of the Kimberley…they have become a favourite of mine as they respond inquisitively if you imitate their call. They try to figure out if your an intruding male, or an inquisitive group of females come closer trying to figure out if there’s new talent on the block.
